Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is proud to present THE PURPLE XPERIENCE to celebrate the music and legacy of PRINCE, on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at 8pm. The Purple Xperience, embodies the spirit, passion and music of Prince with a stage show that brings memories of the superstar and his catalog of hit songs to audiences of all generations.

Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is on the campus of Lehman College/CUNY at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West, Bronx, NY 10468. Tickets for THE PURPLE XPERIENCE on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at 8pm are $75*VIP, $45, $40, $25, with a special $10 ticket price for children 12 and under, and can be purchased by calling the Lehman Center box office at 718-960-8833 (Monday through Friday, 10am–5pm, and beginning at 12 noon on the day of the concert), or through online access at www.LehmanCenter.org. *New This Season: HAVANA CAFÉ and Lehman Center special VIP pre-concert wine & hors d’oeuvres reception starting at 6:30pm. VIP tickets include the reception and the best seats in the house. At the reception meet other patrons and the staff of Lehman Center. Sponsored by Havana Café Restaurant and Havana Club Puerto Rican Rum. Lehman Center is accessible by #4 or D train to Bedford Park Blvd. and is off the Saw Mill River Parkway and the Major Deegan Expressway. Low-cost on-site parking available for $5.

PRINCE was one of the most naturally gifted artists of all time. A consummate and flamboyant showman, prolific songwriter, producer, singer and virtuoso self-taught instrumentalist, you could say that he was born with music in his blood as his mother was the singer for his keyboardist father’s Minneapolis, Minnesota based jazz band. A true innovator whose music combined a variety of styles, including funk, rock, R&B, new wave, soul, psychedelia and pop. He sold over 100 million records and at one time had an astounding 100 million dollar recording and publishing contract.
