About Lower Manhattan

Lower Manhattan is a feast for the eyes. You will immediately recall scenes from films and television shows, as show business is truly in love with its theatrical haven of Manhattan. From "Arthur" to "Sex and the City," the city is a character in and of itself. Union Square is a fun destination in Lower Manhattan. Lower Manhattan shops and cafes can be found all around the square, providing an exciting and perfect setting for a New York adventure, not to mention the nightlife in Lower Manhattan! College students populate a large portion of this district, with NYU and the School of Visual Arts housing campuses in several areas of Lower Manhattan. You will also find families, or kids with nannies, in the plentiful parks in Lower Manhattan. Celebrities in Lower Manhattan can often be found along with restaurants representing the global palates of immigrants who have come to the city. Of course, it is nearly impossible to speak of Lower Manhattan without speaking of the aftermath of 9/11. Ground Zero still awaits visitors to this day, and the memory is always fresh in the minds of every New Yorker.
