Carl Schurz Park Conservancy Harvest Festival
A family-friendly choice, this fall festival at Carl Schurz Park on Saturday, October 13 has fun activities like picking and decorating pumpkins, face painting, horse-drawn carriage rides along the river, and a Halloween Dance Party. Bring the whole gang because all of this fall fun is free!
Queens Botanical Garden’s Harvest Fest and Pumpkin Patch
The Queens Botanical Garden celebrates fall on Sunday, October 19 with a petting zoo and puppet show for the kids as well as composting demos, live music, and snacks, including beer for parents! This event is free with museum admission, and you can also come on any weekend between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to pick a pumpkin.

Randall's Island Urban Farm invites you celebrate a bountiful season with them by bringing the family on Sunday, October 14 at noon for live music, self-guided tours, face painting, kite-flying, and more fun on the farm for free.
Fall Harvest Festival Weekends
Looking for a quintessential fall experience? Head over to Fishkill Farms during Fall Harvest Festival Weekends this month for apple and pumpkin picking, wagon rides, live music, homemade treats, and barbecue. Admission is $5 while children five and under are free.
Kids will especially enjoy the Children’s Fall Festival on Sunday, October 28 at The Queens County Farm Museum because they can meet farm animals and even ride a pony. There will also be bounce houses, carnival games, a haunted house, and live music as well as a pie-eating contest and maze through a three-acre corn maze. Admission is $20.
