The Joyce Theater presents Kate Wallich + The YC x Perfume Genius: 'The Sun Still Burns Here'
Wednesday — Sunday, November 13th — 17th
Co-Directed by Kate Wallich and Mike Hadreas of Perfume Genius
The combination of Perfume Genius’s “glorious, inventive, shape-shifting music“ (The Guardian) with the exacting craft and raw potency of Kate Wallich’s movement will “undeniably lure you and immerse you somewhere far from the workaday world“ (The Seattle Times). Wallich, who has been named in Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch,” brings her Seattle-based troupe The YC to The Joyce for the first time.

‘The Sun Still Burns Here’ is commissioned by Seattle Theatre Group and MASS MoCA and was commissioned and created, in part, with the support of The Joyce Theater Foundation’s Artist Residency Center, made possible by lead funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Howard Gilman Foundation, LuEsther T.
