Description
This unique class blends Pilates, barre, and sculpt to bring runners specific exercises to strengthen key muscles used for running.
Event Details
This blend will not only build strength and stamina for longer runs, it will also target smaller muscles for safely finding bursts during faster, shorter races. Taught by runner and Pilates Sculpt teacher Laura Frye, this class will teach you key moves to incorporate into your training for endurance, strength, and post-run recovery. Each class will end with a runner-specific stretch session.
Runners of all levels are welcome to participate and no prior knowledge of sculpt is needed. Laura teaches beginners to advanced in her weekly classes at The Yoga Room and will guide you safely through the class, making sure you feel confident in every move. Whether you are new to running or just finished your 50th marathon, you will learn how to engage deep in your core, glutes, and legs, giving you the strength to keep running for the long haul.
