This training will teach you how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose.
Event Details
You will become a Certified Opioid Overdose Responder and can receive an Overdose Rescue Kit with naloxone--a medication that can save someone’s life by reversing the effects of an opioid overdose.
The training runs for approximately one hour, and kits will be dispensed directly following the training. This training is offered 2-3 times a month at the Health Department’s Long Island City office and is open to anyone who wants to learn how to respond to an overdose; you do not need to be associated with an organization to attend.
