This Sunday Matinée will be hosted by:
Alicia Graf Mack
Alicia Graf Mack (Host) enjoyed a distinguished career as a principal dancer with Dance Theatre of Harlem, as well as a leading dancer of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Ms. Graf Mack has danced as a guest performer with Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, Beyoncé, John Legend, Andre 3000, and Alicia Keys. She is a co-founder of D(n)A Arts Collective, an initiative created to enrich the lives of young dancers through master classes and intensives. In 2018, she was appointed as the Director of the Juilliard Dance Division with her inaugural year beginning in the fall of 2018.
This Sunday Matinée will feature:
-Dance Theatre of Harlem School
Performance by our brilliant students under the instruction of Robert Garland, School Director and Resident Choreographer.
Martha Graham School
-Graham 2 is a pre-professional dance company drawn from the most advanced students of the Martha Graham School. Under the direction of Virginie Mécène, Graham 2 performs Graham’s repertory as well as works of such guest choreographers such as Robert Battle, Kun-Yang Lin, Blanca Li and others. Committed to its education outreach program, Graham 2 performs for more than 3,000 public school children each year.
-Patrice P. Eaton, Mezzo Soprano
Patrice Eaton (Opera - Mezzo Soprano) is a featured soloist on the live recording of Wynton Marsalis’: The Abyssinian Mass. She most recently performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall honoring the late coach Sylvia Olden Lee, with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and the National Philharmonic in Wynton Marsalis’ All Rise at the Strathmore. She has sung as a soloist with Opera Ebony, American Opera Projects, and Hudson Opera Theater to name a few. (Will be Accompanied by Kyle Walker-Pianist)
