Event Details
Originally known as Decoration Day in the 1860s, Memorial Day is now a national holiday to remember all who died while serving in the armed forces. While General Grant National Memorial is the final resting place for Ulysses S. and Julia D. Grant, many people have traditionally visit the Tomb in tandem with other Monuments and ceremonies in the area on Memorial Day.
