Be Heard On the Third: Knock Down The House Screening & Storytelling
Event Details
Your voice is powerful. Your voice can inspire change. Your voice deserves to BE HEARD.
The Be Heard Coalition is coming back to NYC on Tuesday, December 3rd for Be Heard On the Third. You’re invited to join us for a screening of Knock Down the House, storytelling, and conversation to celebrate and organize around the power of our voices.
Knock Down The House is a powerful documentary featuring four working class women who ran for office, redefined leadership, and showed us all how you can move mountains when you speak out.
After the screening, we will join in storytelling and conversation with movement leaders, including The Movement School, to discuss how they are uplifting the strength in their community’s voices to create change as well as why we need to advance One Fair Wage in New York and the BE HEARD Act in Congress to create the workplaces we all deserve.
It’s sure to be an energizing night, so be sure to reserve your spot before tickets run out!
Thank you to our sponsors Civic Hall, located at 118 W 22nd St 12th Fl, New York, NY 10011 for hosting us. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Light food and drink will be served.
Please email jennifer@platformwomen.org by 11/25 to request an accommodation. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
Together, we will make our power HEARD.
