Welcome to Yesod at the JOC Torah Academy, a 6 session course to learn Hebrew letters, vowels and reading.

This is registration for the first cycle of Yesod, which starts Monday, November 4th and ends Monday December 9th. Click here to view a calendar of classes and courses!
Yesod is a 6 session course to learn Hebrew letters, vowels and reading. Classes are weekly on Mondays from 6:15pm -7:15pm. Yesod will consist of frontal learning presented by the teacher as well as peer-to-peer support in chevrutah. Each Yesod course is accessible to 10 New Yorkers in-person and 10 “Nationals” online by way of Zoom. Students must register and commit to 5 of 6 sessions of a Yesod course to participate. Registration is sliding scale with a suggested fee of $36.
