Hosted by Storytown bandleader Guy Story, Stories from Storytown mixes storytelling with live music from the band Storytown (Charly Roth, Rick Wagner, and Tony Cruz). Each storyteller shares their personal experiences in NY’s music scene over the years. And Guy’s band Storytown plays live in between the stories – new songs as well as songs from their debut album Welcome to Storytown. It’s a variety show of sorts about music in NY, then and now, intimate and personal.

Our 4th event features David Browne, senior writer at Rolling Stone and the author of biographies of the Grateful Dead, Sonic Youth, and Jeff and Tim Buckley, "Serious Bob" Laul, radio promo veteran and co-founder of I.R.S. Records, and Jessica Dye, musician and songwriter whose surf punk band High Waisted recently killed at SXSW. And a short video just for fun.
