Maison Suydam was everything I hoped for and more. The vibe was chill, the house was well-kept, and Bushwick’s art scene was right outside the door. My room had a giant window with natural light pouring in, which helped me feel less cramped on work-from-home days. If you like quirky cafes and street art, this spot is perfect.

I was looking for a safe neighborhood and found exactly that in Sugar Hill. The walkability of the area, plus the secure building, has made living here comfortable and easy.

Pros: a lot of locations throughout the city

Crown Heights House was my temporary base while searching for a permanent apartment in NYC, and honestly, it was a great decision. The neighborhood is rich in history, and as an artist, I found a lot of inspiration just by walking around. I particularly loved the old architecture and nearby green spaces. The apartment itself was comfortable, though I did wish the laundry machines were a bit faster. That being said, the balcony and backyard made up for it!
