This Soho gem features the provocative and dynamic cuisine of the Eastern Mediterranean with Executive Chef Ayesha Nurdjaja at the helm. The same dedication to sourcing and supporting farms from the Northeast will be the hallmark of Shuka as well.
Ayesha, a Brooklyn native, honed her skills with Lydia Bastianich at Felidia and side by side with Missy Robbins at A Voce. In addition, her inspiration for intense flavors comes from growing up with an Italian mother and an Indonesian father. She has traveled extensively throughout the Mediterranean in a recent stint in Israel in which she staged at some of the most influential restaurants in Tel Aviv.
