Drum with Samba New York! in the NYC Halloween Parade 2022!

PARADE DETAILS:
1. DATE: Monday, October 31st, 2022
2. CALL TIME: 5:30 PM (upon arrival, our Bateria will assemble and rehearse -- please be on time)
3. MEETING PLACE: The park to the west of Sixth Avenue at the corner of Spring Street in Manhattan (more specific details will be provided upon registration)
4. GEAR: All participants need to bring their own instruments and accessories (straps, sticks, mallets, extra heads, etc.). There will be no place to stow cases or other personal items.
5. REPERTOIRE: The repertoire for the Parade will be sent via video to each participant upon registration. All participants are expected to be highly proficient at playing this repertoire on their respective instruments by Parade day (suggestion: practice the pieces consistently a little bit each day).
6. DRESS CODE: White pants (no sweat pants) and yellow Samba New York! t-shirt (cost for a new shirt = $25). In case of cool weather, a black sweater or sweatshirt may be worn underneath the t-shirt.
7. PARADE TIME: The Parade begins at 7:00 PM. The exact time that Samba New York! steps off will depend on our location in the lineup. The Parade route takes approximately one hour to complete, going up Sixth Avenue to West 16th Street.

HOW TO REGISTER:
Send an email to Info@SambaNewYork.com and include the following information about yourself:
1. Full name
2. City/country of residence
3. Instrument you'd like to play
4. Preferred t-shirt size
5. Samba group (if applicable)
6. Prior samba playing experience
Note: Samba New York! will try to accommodate, but cannot guarantee, the instrument preference of each participant. This is because we need to make sure the numbers of players in each section are balanced. If a change needs to be made to your preferred instrument, you will be notified upon registration.
