It's an Event!! It's an Announcement!! It's a fundraiser!!
First let me just share my amazing excitement that I will be participating in this year's MACY's Thanksgiving Day Parade. When I joined the Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps marching band ten years ago, there was no way I would have thought this would ever happen.
I had never been in a marching band before but then at the ripe old age of 47, I got to join this band and it has been a privilege from the start. From my first parade in New Hope, PA to NYC's World Pride - Stonewall 50 celebration it has been an amazing journey.
Over the years this band has grown and grown and now we are hitting the big time. The big show. THE PARADE. And I get to be in it!!! Look for me crashing my cymbals and sporting a purple moustache.
