Event Details
The Governors Island Winter Village in Colonels Row features fun activities and winter vibes for visitors of all ages.
The Village includes a 7,500-square-foot ice skating rink open Thursdays-Sundays and all NYC Department of Education holidays, along with daily attractions and activities including more than a dozen lawn games, fire pits, sled and bike rentals from Blazing Saddles, twinkling lights and delicious seasonal food and drinks. Ice Skating Rink Fees
Admission: $12 Weekdays and $13 Saturday & Sunday (all ages)
Free Admission Thursday — Admission fee waived for all visitors on Thursdays.
*Note: Free Admission Thursdays are walk up ONLY
Skate Rentals: $9 (all ages)
Please keep in mind the following information as you plan your visit:
Please make sure you allow enough time to check in, get your skates and maximize your ice session time. We recommend you arrive 30 minutes in advance of your timed session.
Governors Island is accessible by ferry from Manhattan. You must reserve ferry tickets separately at govisland.org/ferry prior to your visit.
All guests must complete a participation waiver in order to skate. CLICK HERE to complete your waiver in advance.
All guests will have timed entry to the session selected.
Ice skating is rain or shine. Please dress appropriately.
We recommend guests wear appropriate safety gear and helmets accordingly
All tickets are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable.

COVID Safety Notice: The safety of our guests and staff is very important to us. The Rink at the Governors Island Winter Village will continue to meet all New York City and state mandated safety requirements. Proof of vaccination and face coverings/masks are not required to access the skating rink. All guests regardless of vaccination status are required to wear masks inside the skate rental area at all times. Masks are required while waiting for, boarding, riding and disembarking Governors Island ferries and in any indoor spaces on the Island.
