Description

Burton Lane was an American songwriting giant. If his name doesn’t have the wattage of Gershwin/Berlin/Porter/Arlen/Kern, the music he wrote has every bit the allure for jazz musicians.

Event Details

Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, Ben Webster, Bill Evans, Chet Baker, and so many others have been drawn to the deep improvisational appeal and organic flow of songs like “I Hear Music,” “How About You,” and “Too Late Now.” Our line-up includes the sparkling Steve Wilson on alto sax, the deeply imaginative Michael Dease on trombone, and important new voice on tenor sax—the superb Roxy Coss—the marvelous vocals of Sandy Stewart, and a rhythm section as stellar as they come. Swing down the Lane with us!
