It was when Michael, after a 30 years long culinary training from managerial positions, met Andreas, a kitchen enthusiast who had run restaurant business for decades, the decisive moment that the two successful dine vets teamed up to fulfill their common appetite for a Mediterranean Nisi (Greek for Island) in the western portion of the Village. Because West Village didn't just need another south European spot. West Village needed a Nisi. The team puts forth not only an ever-evolving menu consisting of handsomely refined dishes of the Tyrrhenian and Aegean Sea. A big deal of real warmth will come from the staff and the artfully designed family spirit of the space on top of the Mediterranean classics with a novelty touch.
