About Clinton
The history of the town of Clinton, NY is a fascinating one. It's a story that goes back to the days of the Revolutionary War, and it has always been a booming place for industry. Clinton may not have as much notoriety as some other places in New York, but there are plenty of things to do that make it worth visiting. The City of Clinton, NY is located in Oneida County and is part of the Watertown-Mayer School District. This city had an estimated population of 9,812 as of the 2010 census. The city was named after DeWitt Clinton, a politician who served as governor of New York from 1817 to 1823 and from 1825 to 1828. Clinton is home to many excellent attractions, including Fahnestock State Park, the Clinton Lake State Park, and the Wildridge Golf Course. Connected with diverse forms of transportation such as highways and railways, it serves as a good destination for tourists from all over the country.
