Description

Theatre Row is located in Midtown Manhattan between Ninth and Dyer Avenues. The name comes from the numerous Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway theatres that line the south side of the street. In the 1970s, it was an infamous area of brothels and peepshows, but a campaign to clean up the street was launched. Today, it is dominated by a large complex housing six small theatres: the Beckett, the Acorn, the Clurman, the Kirk, the Lion and the Studio Theatre. It is currently home to several resident theatre companies including: Mint Theater Company, The Actor's Company Theatre, Keen Company, United Solo Festival, and Theater Breaking Through Barriers to name a few. Theatre Row also operates 6 newly renovated underground urban rehearsal studios. Fantastic spaces for Dance, Rehearsal, classes, and meetings. Studio location and access is exceptionally private while still being easily accessible. For non ticketing information, call: 212-747-2442
