About NYC Cup What can be better, New York in the summer, playing soccer? SDFC and Rated Sports are thrilled to present a national level tournament that will host some of the globes best youth players and teams right in the heart of New York City. The New York City Cup – Part of the National Series (www.soccershowcase.com) – will be attracting the best teams from around the globe. The event will only accept 150 teams from each gender between the ages of U14 – U19. Over 150+ college coaches and professional scouts are expected to be in attendance. There is no better place to play but right in the heart of NYC. The NYC Cup is committed to excellence above all else; Top Rated Competition Top Rated Fields Top Rated Referees Top Rated Organization The venue for the NYC Cup will be at the beautiful Randall's Island – an oasis in the middle of New York City, Randall's Island Park comprises most of an island in the East River, between East Harlem, the South Bronx and Astoria, Queens. The Park has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, in large part through the vision and support of Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Most age groups will play in divisions of 16 teams. Each team is guaranteed three (3) games. Bracket play will consist of three (3) games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each game is 80 minutes. EACH TEAM IS REQUIRED TO PLAY ONE GAME PER DAY.
