Tijuana Picnic is a new, bi-level Mexican restaurant by Jon Neidich and Jean-Marc Houmard, managing partners of Acme, together with Huy Chi Le of Indochine and designer Robert McKinley. The restaurant will serve elevated Mexican fare with non-traditional flavor accents in a casual atmosphere. New York bartending veteran Jim Kearns, formerly of the NoMad Hotel and Mayahuel, heads its cocktail program. Located at 151 Essex Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, Tijuana Picnic’s operating hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Sundays and Mondays, 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, please visit www.tijuana-picnic.com or call (212) 219-2000.
