Description

True Hawaiian poke by Chef Lee Anne Wong. Healthy bowls of freshly-caught fish marinated to perfection for a bold taste of Aloha in every bite. Simple, yet complex in flavor, poke is the quintessential Hawaiian comfort food that harmoniously combines the flavors of the land and sea. In the earlier years of its history, it was prepared with chunks of freshly-caught fish, salt, seaweeds and roasted kukui nuts (inamona). Over time, the diverse people of the Islands adapted poke to their unique tastes, creating the many combinations of seafood and flavors you see at bodegas and poke bars all over Hawaii today. We are different because we are traditional. Although it has undergone many different interpretations throughout the Mainland, we are committed to serving an honest representation of poke – freshly-caught fish, cut into chunks, marinated and served over a bed of warm rice. We stand by the tradition of marinating the fish. Chef Lee Anne Wong has created a variety of signature sauces that showcase the myriad of flavors unique to Hawaii. Expect a true taste of Aloha in every bite!
