Want to learn about Project Based Learning? Will your program implement civic engagement projects this summer? Interested in implementing PBL for this summer! In this hands-on training, providers will learn about CUP’s unique educational approach to project-based learning. Participants learn how to frame questions for project-based curricula, how to use design to break down complex information, and how to frame collaborative design projects with their students.
Participants will:
Learn how project-based learning can promote
critical thinking, collaboration, and increased civic engagement
Engage in hands-on activities, including:
How to use design to break down complex info.
How to facilitate student-centered investigations
How to use place-based research methods
Identify ways to incorporate PBL into their own
Curricula and educational practice
Receive their own Educator Guide to plan custom
projects around local issues
Participants will:
