Lehman Center for the Performing Arts and GOYA FOODS present the return of INDIA for an unforgettable concert to celebrate her 30-year musical career on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 at 8pm. Prior to the concert, Rafael Toro, Director of Public Relations of Goya Foods will present a $75,000 check in support of the Latino Concert Series at Lehman Center, and announce a food donation of 1,400 pounds to the college’s food pantry for students in need. The donation is part of Goya Gives, the company’s national initiative to promoting and supporting the overall well-being of our communities through social responsibility, environmental initiatives, and company values.
“Goya has always believed in the importance of giving back to the community and honoring our Latin culture, roots, and heritage,” said Rafael Toro, Director of Public Relations of Goya Foods. “We are honored to be title sponsors of Lehman’s Latino Concert Series and to bring together people through a mutual love of good music and great food! In addition, we will donate 1,400 pounds of food to students struggling with food insecurity at Lehman in hopes of bringing comfort with a healthy meal.”
India, La Princesa de la Salsa, who is famous for her chart-topping albums such as Dicen Que Soy, Ese Hombre, and Sobre el Fuego, will perform a concert that will include Salsa, some Free-Style and ballads. Special Guest MICHAEL STUART, is one of Puerto Rico’s most prominent Salsa vocalists with hits like “Nina Bella”, and “Amor a Primera Vista”. Produced by Lehman Center and Leo Tizol.
Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is on the campus of Lehman College/CUNY at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West, Bronx, NY 10468.
